A regular weekly tai chi session for beginners of all levels of fitness

Healthy, Mindful & Relaxing: Tai chi is a traditional Chinese martial art that combines the elements of good posture, controlled, relaxed movements and focussed breathing to strengthen the body, improve general health and provide a sense of well-being.

Tai chi is a great way to improve your health and fitness, combat stress and make new friends. The sessions are designed to be fun, friendly and supportive.

Instructors David & Helena are professional tai chi and qigong teachers, members of the Tai Chi Union for GB, with many years of skill and experience.

Please contact Pendle Leisure for prices, memberships etc Up and Active and Carer's concessions. Advanced booking with the centre is recommended.

Please bring clean dry shoes. Plimsolls are best. Trainers with thick soles and deep grip will pull on the joints. Loose fitting comfortable clothing- trousers not skirts/dresses. Please remove any dangly jewellery before coming.
Lighthouse Tai Chi also offer workshops and social events to meet others and make new friends.

Hi Tony - the leisure centre will give you the exact price as it does vary with memberships and concessions but I think the max price is about 5
The group varies but we split into beginners and intermediate - so you never have more than 10 people per instructor
for the next 2 weeks we are moving to West Craven Sports Centre in Barnoldswick at 11.15pm to 12.15pm but we are back in the Colne sports hall on 29th July at 11am
please come along 10 mins before and give the class a go. We'll do our best to help

Hi David

Just to say I really enjoyed your Tai Chi class last night. It was lovely to be practicing Chen style form again, and I can now start to progress with good direction. I will be looking forwards to future instruction.

Many Thanks

Hi David

Just to let you know that unfortunately, I have a virus and am unable to attend the session tonight. I also don't want to pass on my germs, as I have a bad cough. I will continue my practice throughout the week and hope to attend next week.

Best Regards
